403B

A 403b plan is a retirement plan for some public school educators, ministers, and certain tax exempt organizations. In the private sector it would be referred to as a 401K these numerical designations are simply a reference to their placement in the Internal Revenue Service code. It allows an employee to set aside a contribution pretax in their paycheck up to a limit predetermined by the I.R.S. 403b plans are typically an annuity contract or a custodial account which may be invested in mutual funds.
